We felt totally immersed in natural beauty at Arenas del Mar; gazing out to the ocean from the swimming pool, dining on the beachfront, and looking out to green flora from luxury suites. It´s easy to get settled into the pura vida lifestyle at a hotel where everything feels so easy.

Beautiful beaches for sun drenching and surfing are right on your doorstep and Manuel Antonio National Park´ is just a walk through the sand away. You´ve got pristine nature at your fingertips, and even better still you´ve got effortless access to it!

This award-winning sustainable resort implements countless initiatives and is part of the Cayuga Collection, whose mission is to preserve communities and ecosystems.

A huge 75% of Arenas del Mar´s rainforest grounds act as a biological corridor between the surrounding areas and Manuel Antonio National Park, thanks to a huge reforestation project where 7,000 native trees were planted.

As part of the hotel´s everyday sustainability practices, water is heated by solar energy, wastewater purified to irrigate the gardens, organic cleaning products used, and a no plastic policy is operated with reusable bottles provided. Guests can even tour the property with the sustainability manager to see the efforts made in all the out-of-sight areas.

With a belief that physical and social wellbeing is key to sustainable development, staff members are employed locally and have access to a company doctor and professional training; staff also volunteer to take part in regular cleanups of Manuel Antonio National Park´s nature trails, and prepare and distribute meals to homeless people in the area.
